EUROMAR 2012 recommends that delegates book accommodation at the conference venue, on the UCD Campus.

UCD Summer Residences

Two accommodation options are available on the UCD Campus, the EUROMAR 2012 Conference Venue.

 Accommodation can be booked on the UCD Campus in Roebuck Hall which are recently built residences. From here it is a leisurely 5 minute walk to the main meeting area at O’Reilly Hall. Rates are per en-suite single room, per night, in-shared apartment style accommodation. All apartments have wireless internet access. Bed linen and towels provided. Full Irish Breakfast is also included.

 Accommodation can also be booked in the Merville Residences which are also just a 5 minute walk from the conference meeting rooms. Rates are per single room per night in shared apartment style accommodation. Kindly note that occupants in Merville Residences must share bathroom facilities. All apartments have wireless internet access. Bed linen and towels provided. Full Irish Breakfast is also included.

Vouchers for a Full Irish Breakfast will be issued to guests on arrival. One voucher per day can be exchanged for breakfast in the main Campus Restaurant (3 minutes walk). Guests also have the option to purchase dinner vouchers for €10. These vouchers can be exchanged for an evening meal in the university restaurant.

Please note no twin/double rooms are available.

The Radisson Blu, St. Helen’s Hotel (5 Star)

The hotel features a four-storey wing of Portland stone with 151 elegant rooms and 25 exclusive Business Class Suites. Panoramic views of the gardens, Dublin Bay and Howth Head complement the recently upgraded furnishings. The Burlington Hotel (4 Star)

 The Burlington Hotel is located in Dublin city centre, just a 10-minute bus journey from the UCD campus.  The hotel has 500 bright, spacious and contemporary bedrooms.  Facilities include high speed Internet access, multi channel digital TV, secure safe facilities, direct dial telephones, hairdryers, and refreshment facilities and secure car parking for residents.  The Burlington lobby offers 24 hour service and complimentary wireless Internet access is available in all public areas. The Sussex and Diplomat restaurants serve Irish specialities and international dishes in a relaxed setting.

The Stillorgan Park Hotel (4 Star)

 The Stillorgan Park Hotel is one of Dublin’s premier Failte Ireland and Automobile Association (AA) rated hotels. The conference venue, UCD, is located on the Stillorgan Road (N11) approximately 5 minutes by bus or car from the Stillorgan Park Hotel. Rooms include comfortable bedding, en-suites bathrooms, air conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, work desk area, tea & coffee making facilities.
